Terms and Disclaimers
1) Certified End-Of-Life Doulas (CEOLD) are non-medical professionals. We do not conduct medical assessments, diagnose conditions, prescribe medication, or interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional.
2) We do not replace hospice, palliative care teams, physicians, nurses or any other medical professionals.
3) CEOLDS do not make any decisions related to end of life care for the patient directly. Clients retain full control over their healthcare decisions, advance directives and legal planning.
4) CEOLDS are not intended for medical emergencies. In the event of an emergency, clients should call 911 or their local emergency services immediately.
5) All sessions and personal information are kept confidential except in circumstances required by law (e.g. court order).
6) By engaging in services, clients acknowledge that they understand the nature of doula care and agree to the outlined scope. Clients may discontinue services at any time without penalty. All services are non-refundable.
7) We provide supportive services only and are not liable for medical outcomes, legal decisions or actions taken by the client or other parties.
8) CEOLDs do not provide legal, financial or estate planning advice. Clients are encouraged to consult attorneys or financial professionals when needed.
